I will not be riding the redline as often for I am no longer employed at the 550.
praise the sun godz. Finally had the ballz to quit
I have a lot to fill you in on.
Home was a lot of....fun! but so exhausting....
I just had myself a candle-lit tubby with a glass of red wine and that is just one of the nicest things.
I was attempting to meditate when i heard the shreik of a stray cat and the thoughts racing through my mind.
You know when sometimes you do something for someone even though you know it's not the right thing,
but it's the thing that is most beneficial for them? No me gusta
I made this delicious meal yesterday and had left overs to share and enjoy today as well.
Yummy cabbage and white bean/ avacado wrap. Here's the recipe.
I left out the carrots, used white instead of red onions and instead of chiles in adobo sauce
I made a blend of tomato, jalapeno, cumin and cilantro.
While on vacaction I went out to eat far too much. So I must get back to a balanced diet (or something like that)
I had to have a pasty while in the UP though, look at how giant this one is. yikes. probably bigger than a normal humanoids stomach, now that i think of it. and super heavy.
I lost two hours and took the red eye, so i was doomed. Daddio y yo went out to breakfast at 6 am
(first restaurant stop of the trip) and had coffee so again, i was doomed.
Our shower was on the fritz and daddio was fixing the plumbing almost all day on Saturday, poor daddio.
So i went showerless AND sleepless to the bachelorette party.
Met for happy hour at 3 and from there the party continued.
Needless to say, it was wild.
Awoke on the floor of libbsterz apt on Sunday when daddio called asking for the address.
We headed to the cabin and tried to find subway but the FF gods led us to culvers instead (#2)
Luckily got about 3 hrs of sleep on the way to Michigan.
Met my lovely ladies around 6 and caravaned to the cabin.
It was absoulutely lovely.
We sat and watched the sunset while drinking beer and cheap whiskey.
My 'rents cooked for us and then we continued to drink under the starry sky while staying warm by the fire.
Headed to MQT in the evening. Was greeted by roodles & he refused to come with me to hang out with peeps so i left him to meet up with denise and a few others by the lake. Headed to the bar and the merlot mansion and was up until 4.
Brought Beckles Rice Paddy at the bookstore and we surprised Betz and we had a good chat. Spent a long time visiting with peeps although I was on my death bed at this point.
Got blueberry mojitos with kristin, my love, and met up with 10 or so peeps at the new brewery, The Ore Dock.
twas yum-yum-yummmm and the space and prices are great!
Ay dios mio, this is getting long.
okay...so got to see sierra's and mary/matt's new places which are both awesome!
Didn't leave for MN on Wednesday until around 5 pm. Stopped at da yoopers tourist trap to say hey to jesse.
Made it home around midnight.
Thursday I slept in, went to the beach with my britty-cakes and got my hurr n nailz did. Got din/drinkz with my btchz (#4 or #5?)that night.
Friday morn was my papa dave's burial. It was a nice little service and it was so good to see my step-gma and aunt.
Friday night was the rehearsal and we scrambled around setting up the party before hand.
Had beer/ pizza at Edie's after the rehearsal and got a good nights sleep for the big day on Saturday.
The wedding was a lot of fun! So happy for the two. It was nerve-racking having all those eyes on me walking down the aisle/entering the reception. The hummer limo was dripping sweat ( oh yeah, it was in the 90s all of the end of the week) but booze-full. Reception was great! Quit my job via e-mail while there and got some quality time with my brothers gf Kelley. Danced with my fav faux-aunt connie and maddie's mom Deb. and my parents are so dang cute.
I hope to find love like they have someday. (someday...)
Overall it was a very emotional trip, saying hellos and goodbye to physical beings, spiritual beings and new lives.
I was not wanting to come back. It does get lonely out here in this big city; with all of the people I love so far away.
I don't want to give up yet though. I know there are opportunities and relationships to come.
I have even more to say but I will save it for another day. Namaste :)
